No fire on a 2001 SLH

I bought a Slh a couple of weeks ago and it ran good. Then the bolts backed out of the exhaust and filled the hull with water in a matter of a couple of minutes. I got the water out and got the ski cranked back and let it run for about 4 or 5 minutes. The next day I cranked it up and it ran for about 1 minute and backfired and quit. I have no fire now. Hooked up a 9volt battery to the stator and turned the crankshaft and my reading with a fluke meter shows 108.3 ohms and the book states less than 25. On another test with the black wire hooked to the ground on the meter and the red wire to an engine ground I have 3.2 ohms and the book states 0 ohms. Does this sound like its shorted and if so could water get into the stator assembly. I poured some transmission fluid into both cylinders to try and prevent rust. I don't know how to ohm the kill switch. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Larry

Hi Larry, WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums.
Can you open the electrical box and see if water is on or under the electrical board.
The specs for the stator are in the tech section under Domestic Electrical.
    Is the battery FULLY charged?

    no fire 2001 Slh

No moisture in the electrical box and the battery reads 12.39 volts. I have the service manual on the jet ski and that is why I am asking because 2 of my readings don't match theirs. I'm new to the jet ski world and this is my first experiance with one.

    Thanks,
    Larry
