    04 GTX Limited SC problems

    Hi all,

I hoping for a little advice. I was out on Lake Michigan the other day and the ski lost almost all power, the best speed I could get was about 10 mph at 5,000 RPM. The ski has 33 hours on it.

After reading this board my frist thought is the SC washers, however it seems that others who had this problem had a lot more power when the SC went bad. Could the issue be something other than the SC?

I did buy the extended warranty, are all of the warranties for 3 years? With the extended warranty plus the orginal, would this then be 4 years of coverage?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I was able to pull the pipe off of the SC and the baldes do not turn by hand. Looking under the ski, I do not see any type of debris in the impleller.

Any other ideas of what could be wrong?

    Welcome to the board!
need a little more info: what was your max RPM`s and speed? How is the engine running? does it idle well? does it stumble when tipping in the throttle? how do prop edges and wear ring look? are yopu getting any messages on the LCD screen?

easiest and cheapest thing to try first is to install fresh set of spark plugs and go from there...PR...

Doo was on the learning key or in Limp Mode if it was limited to 5000 RPM. Time to check for codes.

The max RPM was 5K, I did not want to push the ski too hard as something was wrong. The motor was running a little ruff and surging, the prop looks fine, I do not see any message's on the LCD screen.

Ski was running fine until I hit two large wakes, then it acted like the learning key was in. Before this the max RPM seemed fine.

I have checked for codes on the LCD screen and I do not see any. Is there a special procedure to check for codes?
