todays new speed
guys, first thanks to all that have helped me get were i got today..you know who you are ..
got what i think is MY sweet spot on my ff plate plus tabs seem spot on...
ride plate height from rear (kick) 1.075
tabs on stock 05 plastic with 0.057 (shim) under all four..
its been a cool day today with temps only 20 degrees celsius so i was able to spin my 23 @ 7240 rpm.
obviously runs with the buzzer on and superman and all holes filled
have one further question if any one can answer this strange one,my ski had four runs with all my buds watching and each time my ski runs faster into the tide,
speed posted was into a running tide, and my best of the day but all were 76.9 +....why...
must add its only just running over 0.7 mph but i am faster into it not with it go figure
soon as steved gets back from the states and i get another calm day i will borrow his camcorder and post video, as i myself i thought a un ported could not achieve these speeds with a penis building it...lol..

Good job Paul. I hope my 06 EFI will run close to those speeds when I get my prop.
As to why it runs faster against the tide, I have no idea.

Paul looking good Buddy!!! Might I suggest you lose those plastic trim tabs and replace them with the older style aluminum or some modified aftermarket ones.

I can't give any facts on gains as I have not compared them myself. However when you space the plastic ones they tend to bow as they have little inherent strength so the surface will not stay flat like the aluminum ones. I know most of the guys with newer boats were going with the aluminum ones.

Paul, thats cool good numbers. Strange about the tide. Maybe you get a tad more lift going into it. Wouldn't think so but I figure I'd throw a guess at it.
