    Question RXP Trouble..

    Hi,

I have an 06 rxp, I took it out to run it in about a month ago, it's only got 1 hour on,stock grate, air filter and impeller. Then installed the Piranha power kit, except the washers and A-kit impeller.

I took it out today for some runs, did not run as expected:

    feels sluggish on high rpms
does not go higher than 6400 rpm

    I did check the following:

    1. boost leaks, ie IC blockoff, removed and used shitloads of silicone to make it seal.
    2.check clips on IC piping
    3. check for anything out of place
    4. no exhaust leaks visible (piranha exhaust)

I kept on riding it like that, thinking there is a boost leak somewhere.. as time went the rpm slowly started to go up also, no idea why..... it's got 3 hours on now, but only hitting low 7000's ... I took of the standard air filter after a while and also got a small gain on rpm.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

SC ceramics still good, no slip at all. I am wating for SC tools to do the rebuilt with the A-kit impeller and the washers that came with the Piranha kit.

I would start by checking over everything you installed...very well could be a boost leak ..All it takes is one hose clamp to be loose and you have a leak..you need to go over eveything anyway after you run it ...things expand and contract do to them heating up and cooling off, so check it all and put a wrench to it all again.but start from square one and go over it all .. check your pump too and make sure nothing is stuck up in there also..

Sno, I did recheck everything, I took off the clamps, dried out the inners to make sure it bites when clamped, I also checked the IC blockoff again, checked zorst, all water channels good, no blockages.

Recheck the oil level and don't over tighten the hoses.
