How Do You Know When Your Cat is Out??
I have a 2001 GP1200R. How do you know when your cat is out?

"sometimes" the dash exhaust warning light will come on.Also,in some cases, the cat temp sensor probe will be bent. You will see a loss of performance in the ski if the cat is plugged/broke.The best thing to do is take the stinger section off and visualy inspect the cat, shake it and check for rattles, see if it is coming apart.

u klownin bro, hey just put a d-plate in there and you wont have to worry bout it no more more. my ski had no cat no d-plate in it and it had better hole shot but less top end due to no back pressure

The first few years were really bad, like 40-50 hrs and they were toast.I'd say definately go with a D-plate,unless your dead set on running one, then get a newer one like 04 or up,they seemed to last longer.
