    Rhino lined hull?

Has anyone tried this. I was actually considering using the hurculiner on the bottom of the 780 hull, as well as an old Kawasaki js440 hull. I had originally planned to paint this stuff on a truck cap that I bought and got to thinking about my beaching issue with these hulls at the lake and wondered if anyone had tried this. If not, I may try it on the js440 first!

I sprayed the inner hull of the PSI cooker with 3M undercoating from a can. Not much weight added from that. Not sure about Rhino or Herculiner.

Thats what I was wondering to, but it cant me any different than using one of those keel guards, right? I dont think the weight is that much for that stuff, and it is supposed to naturally flex with the material.

Maybe the kawasaki will get it first, hate to ruin the polaris

    bottom texture

Ask the apba open class (50') boat guys and you will get some different ideas.
    some still run glass smooth
some run dimpled (like wake boards)
some run (looks like sand paper)scuff stuff
some run angled gator skin (triangles )--these hold the most air between the hull and moving water for less drag
i dont think our skis are running fast enough for that to be a benaficail factor( different story with some of those 90 mph mod skis or that 2.4 merc in a doo)
    just my bloated 2 cents

xlint, how did the 3m stuff work? I am redoing this entire kawasaki and was looking at my options for the inside.

Just think of the possibilities with this. No more worries of beaching and scuffing the hull, better protection against rocks and such in low water situations, and alot better durability over extended time frames. Now I just need to decide if I want to pay someone to do it for me, or just buy a couple of gallons and do it myself. Oh why not, I guess I have a new project now!!

I assumed you meant the inside, my bad. It does OK, wasn't as scratch resistent as I hoped but it looks good. Took much more than I thought it would. 3 cans to do a 2 seater with good coverage. 1 more for best results I'd think.

Funny,I hadn't read this thread,And today on the way to work I was just thinking of the Rhino liner on the inside for looks. The one drawback would be if you had to do a repair to it,It would be a bear to remove and glass. But a bright color would look sweeeet.

I have a 550 hull that you can try it on. or at least move your 440 into after you try it on yours
