Went out for a ride and the steering was very stiff. Thought I had something blocking the steering rod on the pump...checked and was okay.
Any advice on what to check? Is there a place to grease the steering components?

i have found that the slightest bend on my steering cables cause lots of stiffness regardless of how MINER the bend looks! everytime i say any thing on here though its WRONG so u better get more opinions than mine bro! just a thought for ya to check though!

I use a lil CRC 6-56 lube (BRP lube will work as well just more expensive) at the boot below your handlebar assembly, on the steering rod which in the front of the ski just above the front of your fuel tank, and lastly apply a lil lube to the steering linkage beside your pump at the rear of your ski.
If that doesn't free it up, as mentioned earlier, you may have a bent steering rod.

go to the back of the ski... on the bottom of the steering nozzle there's the silver bracket that coes across... in the middle underneath the nozzle it's attached by a 13mm bolt.
take that out... now see if the steering is still stiff or not.
if still stiff... then it's a steering cable isue
if removing that bolt frees up the steering, then the OPAS fins on the side of your hull, the mounting cylinders are all clogged and jammed up
bends in the steering cable will stiffen it up, but normally they loosen up very quickly after a little use and the cable conforms to its new shape.
try removing that one bolt tho, it will tell us alot about where to point you next

Took the 13mm bolt out and it felt the same. It might have been something lodged in the opas fin holes while out riding. It doesn't feel as tight tonight after checking it.
Sprayed wd40 on the steering rod on the pump assembly and under the hood by the gas tank. All I had to use as a lubricant...
Feels tight, but could just be my imagination...
