I believe you guys are at a pretty high elevation too (800ft?)
That should make for a 80mph boat in 70° temps at sea level.
I guess some of us are just lucky

We are at 820 feet elevation
there is no luck involved in it.......it is hard work

you'll have to enlighten me sometime on what you have that's different than mine. my ski only ran good once (speed wise)
keep up the good work

its all in the details
i think there is a lot of speed to be had by fcussing on the bottom of the boat.
i have spent many nights laying under there with silicone, epoxy, and sand paper.
check your block offs to make sure there not hanging down.
check the intake grate to make sure it is not hanging down and the holes are siliconed/ epoxied up.
on my intake grate holes i silicone them....let them set for a couple days then sand them smooth.
just silicone in the grate holes alone if hanging down can rob speed.
SKEGS.....................what else do i need to say there......make sure they are straight......
last but not least RPM always be turning 8100....and as Vern says shoot for the 81 ring...
