    sl 900 Trouble!

    I Have a 1996 SL 900 That Wasn't Running Good! I Did A Compression Test & # 1 cylinder was 110, #2 Was 140 & #3 Was 70! I poured Oil In Low cylinders And Compression Went Way Up! What Should I Do Next!! The Motor Has 140 Hrs. on it! Never Been Work On!

    Pull the heads off and have a look at the piston/cylinder. Post some pics.

    What PNUT said,You have some issues and the only way to tell is to Open It Up. Let us know what you find. Questions?

    Before you tear it down make sure the crankshaft is indexed properly. If the boat took on water and hydro-locked it could explain a downed cylinder.
    Way wild guess is you have a fuel supply issue. Pull the carbs and have a look inside while you're at it. Pay particular attention to the internal filters.
