    Which Hull For a '96 1050 Motor?

I've got a '96 1050 motor and triple carbs coming. The motor is blown, but the seller said only a dome is missing from one of the cylinders so I'm hoping that the damage isn't that bad.

If the motor is salvageable, what two seater hulls should I keep an eye out for the I can drop this motor into? I'd like to build a fun bike to go along with my sltx.

Almost all the 96 and newer two seater hulls will accomodate the triple Domestic engine. The 900 to 1200 type boats will almost be too easy......you'll need the CDI for the 900/1050.

I say shoot for a 650 or 750 hull and make a sweet sleeper. Throw on some tripples and that would just about be the ultimate!

That's exactly what I would like is a sleeper, but i don't know if i could do the mods needed to make it all work....I need something fairly straight forward. But a go-fast ski would be great to go along with the steady-as-she-goes SLTX.

    Roughly how much faster is/was a stock SL1050 over a stock SL750?

Would this be more about top end speed, or acceleration?

With a 1050 motor, would an extended ride plate (and extended pump) be a good thing?

Might want to think about sponsons too...

Quite a bit better acceleration and significantly higher top speed. What was the 750?..90hp? vs. 120 of the 1050. 750 does about 55, and a 1050 will do 62, give or take. The SL1050 was king of the hill in 97...then again, wasnt the 750 in 95?

Seems like a lot of work to install it into the 750, a couple of questions come to mind.
    Engine mount placement
    Driveshaft?
Thru-hull fitting, does it match driveshaft diameter IF they are different
Exhaust pipe clearance (headpipe to hull opening)
    Exhaust tubing to waterbox
    Electrical box
Will the MFD need to be replaced to match that of the Domestic power plant?
    Minor electrical wiring
    etc.
I'm certainly not saying it can't be done, I just don't that it's worth the effort???
