BRP should have put ceramic washers in the stock radio, because those things blow. Changing the radio and speakers are easy, and makes a WORLD of difference. If you do manage to hook an I-pod to the stock stereo, you'll still hardly be able to hear it with the engine on.

Log one vote for change the stereo!

VX1 isn't too impressed with the OEM sound system,
but it seems you merely wish to add an i-pid to the mix.'
easiest is prolly a FM tuner module on the antenae lead.

Hmmm, ironic, associative humor? Humor with two underlying points; that ceramic washers have as much business being in the radio as they do in the supercharger, and also that the stock radio es no bueno.

There are connectors (RCA) on the back of the radio to Aux Input. All you need to do is buy an adapter from Radio Shack or any other electronics store to convert from the 2 RCA to the mini stero jack on the ipod.

This will allow you to use the standard Clarion with your IPOD for about $5. You can permanently add a surface mounted jack for another few dollars. Its still not a great stereo, OK for easy listening music at rest, does not have the power for rocking out underway if thats you goal.

Yes I have that installed but you can't control your iPod
You have to have your iPod out in open
    Which I guess is OK
    THX all
Still will look for good radio deal
