Anyone Remove Bar Extensions
I need to transfer handle bar extensions from one RXP to another. Those suckers are tight in there. Anyone have any tips on getting them out?

Franko, its prettty much impossible. I am guessing you have the ones from Larry w/ the ODI grips n finger throttle? I dont think the little black pieces that they screw into are coming out. after a lot of penetrating spray i was able to get the actual extensions out. but thats all.
Let me know if you figure anything out. -Joe

I managed to get one out, but I sprayed and soaked in a bucket of pen. liquid and one is still frozzen. If you come up with something post it.....

The difference in metals causes them to corrode in, happened to mine when I tried to take them out...
Why not just swap the whole handlebar?

If they are the same bars just swap the metal bars as well.

My buddy did the Riva FT to his RXP shortly after I did mine and he did something stupid where he needed to remove one of the extensions cause he forgot something. He asked me to come over and help him remove and nothing seemed to work... WD40, Hammer, nothing!!!
Then I thought back to my chem/physics days and remember heat is a generalized dialator....
Try using some heat..... we started with a pro grade heat gun and it almost completely did the trick but in the end ended up using a torch.... worked well and didn't damage anything....
Worth a try before you scrap the whole assembly for another one, unless that was your original intent anyways and this is just an afterthought
