    1100 Crank Seal install

Ok, I've read throught the shop manual and the engine manual that one of the other members posted up.

My question is do I install the seals on the crank and then put it inthe crank case lower half, or do I put the crank in and then slide the seals on from the ends. The installation manual isn't that great, looking for some advice from someone that might have done this once or twice

    Thanks!

seals go on first, then the whole thing drops into the cases.

Download the gp1200 manual in the tech setion. most of the info for the motor is the same.

thats right..just put in my new crank today..case has grooves where the seals go..make sure you have them turned the right way..dont forget the 1211 sealant on the case, and thread sealer on bolts.
