15F pump liner shot - options?

From what I understand, I can either:

1 - buy a new OE replacement pump housing for about $500?
2 - send this housing off to be machined and have the stainless liner replaced - $300 (impeller is potentially damaged as well, so possibly $500.
    3 - buy magnum pump w/stainless impeller $950

Pros and cons? For speed of getting back on the water, the magnum pump assembly sounds attractive. What do you guys think? How would the magnum pump effect the ski since it's otherwise stock? Riva has these on sale. What would the difference between the 155mm and 160mm be?

    Thanks
    Jeff

Here in Australia we have a few companies that will put a wear ring in for about $130. I'd say there must be a company that does the same over there

I've done a search and cant find anyone here that does it, but I know there is someone, as the local PWC shop is just going to send it there for repair.

    pump

You will loose speed going to a magnum pump, period. The only reason PWC's go to a magnum pump is because they've created ALOT more power and need a much bigger pump to move the water like wide slicks on a dragster for instance. Also, with a stock ski it doesn't have the power to pull a magnum pump and even if you put a offshore kit minumum on it which is what it would take to run a magnum pump you would still be slower than if you kept the OEM pump by 2-3mph but the magnum pump would be quicker and hookup much better. I hope this helps.

go the magnum you will not be disapointed
if it is a non set back you probabley wont even notice a change in top speed.

I thought I saw them on Riva on clearance for 750. Chances are you will need an impellor also is what I was told when i asked a mechanic about it.

I didn't even look to see who you were. Carrie's went bad so I traded her ski in on an fx ho. She didn't want the ride of the 15f anymore so we had already talked about it. For a while you can just get away with the bad pump I believe. You just need to keep running it to wear it down. I was given some tips from the service guy that I need to share with you when I see you. Are you 2 going to come and at least visit during this weekend.

    true they are 750 us$
that pump has done 15minutes work so the pump and prop is like brand new
it might be worth while still making an offer on the pump
it may be a cheap way to end up with a magnum pump and prop
for the same cost of repairing a stoker

I think the magnum pump housing and prop are $750 but you still need to buy the exit nozzle setup and pump shoe right?
