First Runs on Stage I
Hey guys. looking for some input. I had my first runs today on my stage I. Do these numbers sound right?
RR Intake Grate, Wedge, Sponsons, Performance Intake, Free Flow Exhaust
Flow Rites, and Solas 14/19. Opas Still on and holes not filled.
Temp - Low 60's
RPM - 8100-8150
Water - Like Glass / Slight chop
First couple of Runs I hit 69.8 on the GPS.
Last couple of Runs I hit 70.0.
I had a full tank of gas.
I only ran for about 20 Mins. I will have to run the tank down and try again, but I wanted to know if these numbers sound right.
I am looking at filling my holes, taking off the opas, adding XS intercooler, greenwheel, waterbox, and 42# Injectors.

Sounds about right to me. Less gas and rideplate holes filled you might be able to get the numbers that Riva claims with their stage I kit.

It sounds a little low to me. I was able to do 69.5-6 in similar conditions with only skegs + sponsons.

that's what I thought. I had half a tank to go out on, but I filled up thinking I would Ride longer, but once you get wet that air gets cold at 70.

I should definitely get more out of it with less gas.

Sounds low to me too. I ran 71+ consistently in 85+ degree weather, slight chop, 5-10 mph winds & 1/2 tank of fuel. Run the fuel down to at least 1/2 full & make sure you find the sweet spot for the trim. For me it's 1 notch above the middle arrow.

Before the mods I used to see top speeds with the trim fully up. Could that have changed?
Also before my mods I was GPSing around 68.
One other thing. I think the steering extender that comes with the RIVA wedge has thrown my steering way left. Is anyone running the wedge without this extender??

That's a different story.. see my ski went like 67 stock so that's why I thought you were alright. I have the wedge and no extender. I adjusted the steering up front per Shibby's instructions..

I am just going to have to run the gas out and try it again. Something might be wrong with my GPS too. It has been acting up.
How do you adjust the steering up front?
