Thread: Fuel Filter?!

Ok, im gonna ASSUME using a fuel filter is pretty much a necassary right?!?!! Since my ski is down until i get the new pump & impellar, today i was kinda just going through the whole thing, checkin hoses, etc etc... I noticed NO inline fuel filter whatsoever... Ive only had this ski since late July, honestly never dawned on me to check, and only rode it about 6 hours before it broke down on me.... Unless im missing something, the guy before me never had one in. Anyway, my question is, what filter can be used and where is it typically located in the fuel line? Thanks fellas..

I'd bet there is one on it,Take a look were the lines head into the fuel tank. Some are a couple of inches off the pick-up,You may have to remove your storage bin under the hood to see.

your water seperator is a fuel filter and if you dont have one go buy a universal one from a auto parts store or walmart , 5-10 bucks

Yeah, definatley no fuel filter, lines goes straight from the tank, to the water seperator, then to the cut off, then to the pump... Owner before me must have replaced some lines or something and never put a new one in.... Will any inline from autozone or walmart work, or does it need to be a certain kind? Or is it even necassary? thanks alot...
