over heat question for exerts
boat is a 06 rxp rotax stage 3 uses a one quarter to half quart of oil per tank of fues has denso plugs burning white looks to be running lean compression test 130 -120-130 rpms 8100 to 8300 feels like boat is surging sounds like cavitation issue gets p1116 code and goes into limph mode all coolant goes into hull trough over flow have no clue what is going on so hopefully someone on here can help us out
thanks for any help you can give me

doesnt anyone have any suggestions or is this a problem no one has had

You may have crossed the oil cooler lines. I did this and Jerry told me of this prob. It would overheat damn near instantly.

sounds like combustion in the coolant passages to me perhaps
white plugs could be coolant breaching the combustion chamber, or just from HEAT, since you are in fact overheating.... or its getting so hot from a water pump/thermostat problem that the coolant is flownig out from too much heat
Head Gasket, thermostat, or water pump problem is my diagnosis

Shib i built this boat it was the FIRST one i ever touched and it has been BULLET PROOF since i put it together 40 hours ago then ALL the SUDDEN yesterday it does this to my buddy while we were riding. i had BOB9188 post this since my puter was BOMBED last night and as BOB1988 stated we checked compression 130-120-130 with our KENNY SCHRADER valve in tack and so wouldnt it MOST LIKELY be the thermo stuck closed????? i cant figure how it could be the water pump if it HAS to turn with the engine running????? unless they can spin OFF in the housing and just be in there NOT moving??? thanks for the HELP!

Got another thermo-housing? Does this boat have the 158? Steve I know u can swap this w/ another 1 or read kinchlyles' post on the thrermo housing (epoxy but worx good) and get another thermo if that works. This should not be too hard to diagnose w/ some dissasembly.
