Stage 3 Riva Pro Series Super Charger Advice

Has anyone, lightened & balanced the Riva Stage 3 Pro Series Super Charger Impellor to make it more reliable & easier on Super Charger Clutch Washers? Don't want to be adjusting the SC Clucth too often.

Secondly what would run best @ 8400/8500 rpm Riva Pro Series Super Charger or Stock Super Charger with new Green Wheel?

    Thanks for the advice.

I wouldn't try lightening a cast impeller. I also have never heard of the S3 being hard on clutches. The B kit and Rude Charger are though.

The S3 will out perform the Green Charger at all RPM levels.

Jerry, could you elaborate on the Rude Charger being harder on the clutch more? Does the slip moment just wear quicker, or does it actually increase the chance of a bearing failure, etc.? I don't think I've heard of a Rude Charger failure yet, but I have heard of B-kit touchdowns, but isn't that because the B-kit uses a billet blade?

The larger the impeller the harder it is on the clutch. It's heavier!

The cast impellers don't flex as much as the billet impellers do.

Jerry how often would you say that the washers need to be serviced when running the B-Kit or the RUDE.

Where are the B kits available at ? I dont see to much information about these. Is it the same as the rude?

Depends on your riding style. I shim mine ever 10-15 hours of use.

B kits come from Les Cooke in Australia. They are about the same thing as a Rude Charger. The Rude uses a cast impeller and the B kit uses a billet.
