    Help, '06 GPR Bogging

At the end of a hard ride my ski expirienced a bogging problem that felt like exhaust choking or no air. Throaty sound and max RPM was 5,000. After 1,000' the Rs came back and it ripped for a bit than bogged again.

-The PTO plug was blacker than the others but compression was normal at 128/128/121.

I changed plugs and cleaned up the wires but it did not solve the problem. I inspected the rear exhaust and all was good. Also, when on the hose a burst of throtle would suck in the seat material.

    Any ideas?
    -Erin

I had the same problem with mine.(I have jetworks installed though). My problem was the coupler was loose enough to let exhaust fumes out. into the hull and choke it out. Try riding with the seat off and see if it it doesnt get full rpms.

I went back over all the exhaust connections and all were solid(front & rear).

With the seat off it would get full Rs but then stumble and bog as well.

Update: I pulled the pipe looking for obstructions-NONE

Also, I've been getting the occasional Check Engine light with a #54-stepping motor?? but on the hose I get a #01-all good.

How do I test the spark power on a ski that only acts up at will?
-the same problem occured on new plugs.

Is it smoking excessively. Faulty EFI? Bad reeds?

Normal smell & look to exhaust. EFI lights are functioning but I'll check the connections. I'd like to rule out electric before pulling the reads.

It has to be something with the electronics. I have heard of faulty ecu's before. I dont think it would be the reeds if you said it jumped back up to 7000 for a little bit. WHERE ARE THE PROS??? someone has to know whats wrong with it!!! Maybe a faulty throttle position sensor? I dont know but i bet its something simple.
