    95 SL750 CDI question vs 96 SL780

I need a CDI unit for a 95 SL750 and found one from Zigler but its for a 96 SL780. Anyone know if they are interchangable?

    Thanx!

    The 1995 750 has 24 deg advance @ 3000 rpm
    The 1996 780 has 28 deg advance @ 3000 rpm

    You should be OK.

I don't know how the timing curve is at the 3/4 range so I'd watch the pistons for deto.
Too much timing while under load and poor fuel equal high temps/detonation etc.
I'm not saying this is your case, just something to look for.

hmm. I bought the ski not running so can't report on the performance gain. Could I turn the stator plate coutner clockwise (or whatever the correct direction is) to make it less advance? I don't care about performance I just want reliability.
