Its a fiberglass hull layed up with gelcoat as the exterior surface.
Want to come down and take my scratches out while your at it?

Thanks Tom.... You have no idea how pissed I am at myself.... I spend hours with plastic and phenolic scrapers taking the excess silicone off the bottom of my ski without so much as a single scratch,, then in one fell swoop I mangled it... But on the other hand I heard thats the first thing racers do with a new ski is run it up on the beach..

some scratches are good
Actually some scratches are recommended in that it breaks up
the surface tension on the bottom a little creating less hull drag.
Sort of like how these Ultra's run better in a little chop versus
glass like conditions.
Just see if the scratches are really deep. On regular boats you
get blisters and have the possibility of the water wicking up
and down the hull. Usually that's for boats that stay in the water
at a dock rather than these trailerable jetskis.
Colorite makes the exact OEM match for the black. THey have a clear
coat, but I don't think I'd use it, probably wouln't hurt.

Thanks Tom, I'm very aware of the perrils of boat ownership... A touch up pen aint gonna help the scratches I put in the bottom of my ultra. I have a buddy that works at a body shop that will re-spray the gel if I do the prep work...
Here's my " other " toy..

Check out Color Rite website, as they have the exact color to match the hull.
This is the right stuff as I have used it already to repair minor scratches on the bottom of my hull.

Can't gel-coat SMC, it's always painted, usually with nothing more than automotive enamel. Not nearly as durable as gel but a whole lot easier to repair.
