98mm pistons and cylinders
Anyone try the waterdogz billet 98mm bore cylinders yet?
I've seen few on 1200cc 66E motors over on x-h20.com
I know this cylinder is Mono but it can and has been cut the outlet is bigger which is right for 98mm

I believe Superramjet was running one of these. he even talked about the application to a tripple. 1800cc triple man that would be insane.

My biggest concern would be fabricating an exaust system. Manifold, pipe, stinger, waterbox, etc., would all have to be able to support the increase in volume. Tripples would have to be heavily modified too, they were originaly designed for 1200cc as well. A 50% increase in volume would take serious fabrication to make work IMO.

Very true. I didnt think about that. Acid porting would be about the only thing you could do on a single pipe application. I wounder what this set up would do in a 800 lower end as far as top speed? You would still have the 1200 cc displacement with less weight than a tripple. Sounds like a project for Duke.

no good for a single piped triple cylinder imho....at least with the factory designed pipe.
my 1500 made best speed numbers in the 7000 range. adding that much displacement would further lower the peak hp rpm.
if you add pipes i know these cylinders properly piped make about 100hp per jug (spoke to those boys last winter). dont think a set of factory triples would be the right combo. get ready to pay R&D 10K+ for a set of custom designed pipes.
i wanted a set of these cylinders but it never came to fruition
for 300+hp your better off doing a conversion imho.
