hey watch out on lake austin... the water cops have way too much time on there hands. Ive been stopped for a "safty inspec" just about every time ive ever gone on that lake. and if they see you racing around they
will find something to fine you for... IMO lake austin patrol sucks

Lake austin can be fun
Lake Austin can be fun - and the water can be smooth as glass. You just have to remember that it's a narrow lake and "Rules Of The Road" apply. If you don't follow them, then Austin PD (the patroling entity) will pull you over and threaten a warning. Safety inspection is just mandatory with them for some reason.
Anyway - Decker Lake (Walter E. Long) has smoother water, but is a little smaller. It's out on Decker Lane - across the road from the Travis County Expo.
If you see wetbikes out on Lake Austin or Decker - stop in and say hello.
PS: APD can be a PITA.
