Got new riva grates
Thanks for gettin them out to me so fast. I ordered Tuesday the 28th and they arrived today. I have replaced grates on other PWC's, any tips for a RXP & RXT? Should I heat up the bolts?

Chris, glad you got them so quickly and thanks again for shopping here.
Just try to slowly loosen the bolts without heating them. Lots of people tried heating them and they got too hot and the inserts spun.
I have never had to heat a grate bolt to get them out.

I heated mine like I read to do on other sites and spun the inserts. I ended up having to glue them back in. it was NOT a fun experience, DO NOT HEAT THEM UP

If you use a impact it goes fast and does not heat the bolt and break.

Grate fit perfect into the RXP. I used my cordless impact driver to remove bolts. It worked really well.

The trick is to heat the bolts with a soldering iron to break down the locktight.......then LET THEM COOL...before removing them. This applies to the sponson and ride plate bolts. Even w/o heating the bolts, chances are you will be able to remove them, but it's the one stubborn one that causes problems.
