    1200 and 1100 Parts Interchange

Hey all...I have been watching this for a while and this is my first post. I have a 95 Raider that has a complete Riva Motorsports built motor in it. I will post the details of this motor at a later date, but today I need some information on the interchange of parts between the 1100 and 1200.
I was reading in an earlier post on the first things to do to an 1100 to increase the performance, and someone said swap out the reed cages and electronics from a 1200. What are the parts that interchange between the 1100 and 1200? Are there any fit problems with the reed cages or are they bolt in? I have a line on some on eBay and would like to pick them up if possible.
Thanks all and keep up the good info on these skis. I will post my complete specs soon. Thanks in advance.

entire intake and exhaust are direct bolt ons. No mods necessary. electrical is a little more detailed, but we are talking about swapping pins on connectors, not machining.

Good luck, Welcome, and keep us posted!

I store my ski at a storage shed around the corner from my house and am going to bring it over for some tlc tomorrow. I have to work at my sportsmans club tomorrow on the shotgun range or I would be out on the water.
I will definitely snap some pictures of it and post it tomorrow.
I know a good deal of what is in it. I bought it from my best friend as he has a back injury and can no longer ride it
I still have to collect all of the old parts and receipts from him as soon as I can. Then I will know exactly what was done. I do know it was built in 97 by Riva in Pompano. It has an awesome rumble to it and people stare when I start it up.
I have lots of questions and some ideas I want some feedback on in the near future.
Is there an available wiring crossover list for the cdi or do I have to get a gp1200 manual and cross them over myself?

Keep a look out for me....

Here's some pics of the reed cages from an 1100 and 1200. You can see the 1200 is a little longer.

I knew the stops were a little different but I didn't notice the petal was longer? I'll check mine out, Hardly seems like a worthwhile upgrade? Z

One more thing that probable doesn’t mean much. The stock reeds are $45.00 less for the 1200 verse the 1100 at boats.net.

I`m sure that it has been done on that motor built by Riva, but to all the other 1100 / 1200 guys out there...... Port and smoooth your intake manifold just below the carb to get rid of that Fugly restrictive ridge.

    Before.

    After.

Some good info here, I`m following along with this post so that I can gain some extra speed from my Raider......

    CatRunner,

Nice work! I like it when things are all shiny.

Had some time this past winter when the engine was apart so I cleaned and polished the exhaust ports and manifold.

I will look at mine and let you know if it was done...i have an R&D that i got on eBay for 40.00 polished for 44mm's. That is the next step as I think it has 38mm's on it now. I may not do it until the spring, but at that price I could not pass up the manifold...
