I agree, rich she will live, lean she will die though. Joe, may I ask what the hell you are doing with a 98 XL1200?

I have had the 98 xl1200 since 2000. It was my first yamaha. She sits in the garage begging for attention. My 13 year old son is going with me to world finals. I thought I would check her out and make sure everything was ok before handing the lanyard to the lad. This ski has been a love hate type of relationship. It hasnt been the most reliable ski and I hate wrenching on the 65u. During the last rebuild 5 hrs ago or so I took it back to stock and hope to get some longevity out of it. Its a good ski for Glen My son. Enough power for him but a sub 60 mph ski.

I still think #1 and #2 are way to rich?

Joe, I told you before we might need to go one higher on the spring for popoff right now I have those carbs set at

    1.5 N&S 95 gram spring 100 lows 135 highs 1 turn on all

I did the same set-up in my SUV in fact I did both sets of carbs at the same time. This was causing it to dribble at idle and load a bit, I was considering going to the gold spring. I ran all summer this way used a lot of gas and I can bet my pistons look like yours but I had no meltdowns this season after having two last year.

Why not 1/8 turn in the highs on the front two cylinders and run it like this for a while??

Dude, youre kidding right? compared to a GPR??

1&2 are silly rich. Rear is good. Run the gold springs witha 1.5 needle.

Thats what I did on the SUV, but you still got the dribble damn 65U's shakes too much. Joe yank em and when I bring your trailer back we can do some quick surgery.
