Find a aftermarket steering nozzle now !!!!

I knew better and have told others to buy a aftermakret steering nozzle.

I had the new style auto drop nozzle but then added the 2" extension and it doesnt bolt up to the trim nozzle (long story) so I put the stocker back on to go for a ride on the MS river.

I dont have a 80+ mph ski - I was cruising along @ about 50 mph in nuetral trim and it simply exploded.

Lucky for me there was little to no traffic on the river. I made it back 25 miles with no steering using my legs as a rudder.

I remember this happened to a member quite awhile ago he posted also since then I have used nothing but aftermarket. I think it was Abbott but I am not sure. Glad you made it back OK and nobody got hurt.

Replace those plastic steering nozzles they do not hold up to the extra pressure we are throwing at them with upgrades.

yup, I think this is the 3rd or 4th nozzle I've read about exploding. Glad yur ok & was able to make it back safely. These stock nozzles are not enough with the added power these skis are being bumped up to. Just like the pump tunnels, these plastic nozzles are a weak spot when modding a GPR.

I think this is for ALL gpr's and XLT's though. Not just modded ones. I was only going 50 when it exploded.

Sounds like Jerry's new cast stainless intake grates and R&D steering nozzles will be a must.Once the nozzle explodes, there goes the steering, and these boats dont stop fast when coming off a speed run.Doesnt matter if its 30mph or 80+mph this is a seriuos matter.Glad your ok mrbtd.

Where can we purchase the R&D steering nozzles?

Will the ss intake grates be an 800 grate?
