    124 MPH Today!!!!!

Hey thats what the boat said don't blame me. I put on jims plate today and I actually did a sweet job using the stock speedo, a piece of metal I shaped and some jb weld making a speedo block off plate - looks just like the other side of the plate. So I cut the cable to the stock speedo and removed it and plugged up the hole. Every once and a while the speedo would throw up some weird numbers before I got home and took the rest of the cable out. At least I know the display goes into the triplle digits!

My question is does that do anything to the boat or ECU? I know the 2007 Gp1300r's have the traction control so you don't spin as much but does it have anything to do with the speedo? I am thinking it doesn't because the boat felt fine but wanted to make sure.

There are 3 wires. I think unplugging it and pulling it out is better than keeping the bare wires hanging out the back in the water.

    Anybody?
