Wouldn't be legal in the states to deny the warrantee for a part that didn't cause a problem... but Canada... I don't know, but you get free healthcare, so you can't complain!

GO see that dealer, and educate them...tell them to put out their head from their asses, BRP is moving onto metal washers for 2008, so i wonder why it would be a problem...i too live in Canada, (Quebec) and i know that some dealer will even install them at your expenses and would keep the warranty untouched, they do so only if THEY do the job...so it's your option.....i'd say....argue and discuss this option with them...who knows...?

As soon as they become available, the OEM part number for the new metal washers will replace the existing part number for the ceramic washers. You can then install the OEM metal washers (NOT the aftermarket ones) and the ski will continue to be covered by the warranty. The dealer will have no say in the matter as you are using the specified OEM part.

....Sure...? From what i've seen the 08 shaft specs won't be the same as the 06-07 ones...so i doubt the 08 washers would fit on the 06-07 shafts...Might want to check with Jerry prior to order anything.
