Removing GPR bumpers???
I have not paid alot of attention to the bumpers on the GPR. How do they fasten on the hull and how much of a pain are they to remove...and are new ones expensive????
I have a winter project going and I want to do some painting!!!!

Well I know the rear is on with 3m double side stuff. I assume the rest are all the same. Oh and rivets!

The corners are rivited on, you have to drill them out, make sure you replace them with either stainless or aluminum so they dont rust. The rubrails are 2 piece design, an inner slider and the main piece. When you slide the inner middle out you will see alot of self tapping screws you must unscrew them then pull the rails off as they are also doublesided taped on. The longest part of the process is getting the tape adhesive off.
I think to do a gpr it would cost you about 300 for new rails and hardware. If you going to do the rails now would be a good time for the hydrotuf mats as you can glue them on behind the rails.
