    gpr water box mod

    has anyone removed the baffle in their water box for the ski to sound better and diffrent if so is there any gains or losses and if anyone has instructions or pics on how to do it. can you post them up. thanks

    i havent done it to my stock box, but i would imagine it sounds like a tdr waterbox that has no baffles.... i dont think theres much performance difference

    Yes. i actually removed alot of the baffles and really opened it up on one of my gp1200s. i havent got a chance to water test it yet but the thing sounds sickk. i cut the end cap off the waterbox and then cut from there 6 inches in and welded the cap back on so its much smaller now. i will get pics up soon and let u now how it works out

    I did this on my 98 gp1200 box. Sounds good. Not too loud like the TDR box.

    I would assume it removes back pressure, so together with a freeflow, this would reduce top end andincrease acceleration ?

    you could try the following mods to it.

    shorty box mod
    or
    remove the baffels
    or
    remove baffels and shorty box
    or
    addbaffles/add some more restriction to it (create more back pressure)
