    Question on Stock Carbs.....

I have a 2001 GP1200. What is the valve with a lever on it located on the rear carb? I had my pipe off last week for a D-plate install, and when I manually opened the carbs to WOT, the lenkage would hit the arm on this valve..... When I let the throttle go to idle, the valve would stick for a second or two, then go back. Is this normal? Ski was off... I wonder if this is my high end bogging problem I am having? I was thinking this was the acc. pump some people on here are disconnecting??

you are correct. That is an accelerator pump.

I wouldn't think this is your problem

the accel pump provides a 1 time shot of fuel - it effects getting to higher rpm but it has no effect once at wot

Could This Be my Loss of Power at mid to High range?

Taking off from a stand still, my ski runs great, then at 4,000 to 5,000 RPMS is looses power. It will not regain power until I go to idle. I have a complete list of problems and things I done under a thread I put on here the other day. I have been trying several things ( one at a time)... D plate, new PV couplers, bypass on/off fuel valve, but ski is the same. Could this acc. pump be my trouble??

Looks like the two of you are in the same boat. Open the powervalves and disconnect the servo motor and see what happens
