    New House

I just bought a new (first) house and finally got everything moved. I'll be unpacking for months but I'm very excited. My fiance was also perfectly ok with me spending all my time setting up the shop I've got a lift design ready and the craddle/dolly/skate whatever you want to call it in the works. I'll be ready when winter gets here not to mention all the extra money from my new job, starting first of the year.

Nice house! I dont dare ask how much because I would probably cry vs what i paid for mine

One thing I can say is PAINT the garage before you move anything into it! My first house I moved stuff in and never had the want to pull everything off the walls to paint. My new house the night we closed I went and painted all night and it was worth it!

It's too late, already moved the stuff in .. You won't be too suprised at the price because housing is ~20% inflated since Katrina I paid $113 per square foot for this house and i know the owner walked away with a very nice profit. If this were in baton rouge the house would have been well past the $150 per square price so i had to settle for prairieville.

Congradulations !! WOW $113 a square foot is a bargain with the cost of materials and labor today. You would think that all the contractors would be busy still repairing the hurricane damage and that would keep the prices for new construction high.

Very nice, and make sure the wife knows you have to go to the shop when you first get home from work, even if it is for 10 minutes.

Man, I love BR. Grew up in Lafayette and partied many a night in Tiger town.

Congrats on the new house! That sound you hear is all your money flying out of your wallet and into Home Depot. Sucker!
