    Unhappy SC ceramic washer failure

SC went out last weekend with 26 hours (no metal washer were not instulled yet, stupid stupid stupid, I thought it would make a good x-mas gift) Pulled the SC and sure enough the ceramics broke into 3 pieces but that bolt held the pieces together. I took the 3 pieces and put them back together and all are accounted for and no tiny pieces missing. My question is do you guys think there is still a need to clean the engine and oil pumps ect..?

if you feel you recovered all the missing parts then i would at least change the oil and filter, clean the hose to the throttle body and then run it a few hours and change oil and filter again.. that just what i good luck and keep us posted.. did you say if it was under warr. or not??

    Thumbs up

Yes it was all under warrenty even with a stage 1. Of the 2 washers, 1 is completely fine and the other is broke into 3 big pieces that are all accounted for. The rebuild kit they will order is the new 08 that comes with metal washers, sweet. Overnight the rebuild kit and should be out the door by Friday.

If they told you that they are BS'ing you or just don't know any better. That kit is not yet available and doesn't even have a part number yet.

You will be getting the Sea Doo rebuild kit part number 881 946 which includes ceramic washers
