Nope, it slides like its on glass....

If you DO make one, leave the jointsa lone. Because as you slide the ski off the trailer, the back of it will CATCH on the joint...This will make the stand move WITH the ski as it comes the rest of the way off the trailer...Otherwise, it will slide right off, its just slippery enough....When you getteh ski off the trailer, simply lift the back end over the lip to distribute the weight...

The cost of that stand was about $80, and $60 of that was in the wheels (5", bearings, greaseable). I went with a rugged wheel that could roll in gravel (as seen in pics) but common enough to find at any Home Depot or Lowes.....BUT if you are using it 99% of the time on a smooth flat surface, like a driveway or garage, a simple $5 wheels will work...Just make sure they are the swivel kind!

Here is a stand that we built for my buddy Mario. He bought a $14 furniture mover palley at Menards, and took the wheels off...We used the rest of the pallet as support.......All you need is the elbows in the pics, soe 3" PVC....three tubes 5ft. long...Cutting one of them in half to make two 18" long chunks will yield a 24" on center stand, which is perfect for ski's....and a pair of 2x6" studs 8ft long, cut to 6ft.....

A coating of WD40 on the bunks helps it get back on easily....

Wrap the PVC with bunk carpet and apply liquid rollers.
