    Any thoughts on RXP-X impellar?

Curious when the aftermarket guys are going to get their hands on this ski or have some thoughts as to tweaking it and squeezing out more top end.

Hoping this will be the case but not sure if they've done anything different since supposedly their claiming these X models to do the same top speed as the 215 RXP however the X has 40 more horsepower but the low end is supposedly a lot snappier. So it could be the width of the intake area that is contributing to the low end and starving the top or maybe BRP has done something with the impellar to cap it at 70 mph to conform with the USCG limits (so I hear). I think it's the same pump although the specs say "hi performance" or "race" to describe their pump. Just wondering if someone in the impellar business is going to jump on this new model and corner the huge requests for top end on this ski.

We're sure planning on jumping on it when they come available. It would be premature for me to speculate on an ideal impeller right now though.

We'll post something when we get the ski.

    Thanks

If all works out as it should dave, i'll have an rxp x by jan. I'll run the 15/19 3 blade in there. But, with the intake area being bigger it would proccess more water & changing the way the 3 blade works like on the 215 rxp. right?
I'll be a guinea pig again.

BTW, I put my ski back to a stage1 minus the 14/19 or 13/18 prop & wedge. I ran my stock prop you added 1mm to in my rxp which now only has a 4" air intake, riva pro block offs & a riva grate for mods & using the stock sc & stock IC it got 70.9 & would have got more if the water was calmer. By the time I got out of the glass cove into the open lake mead water I was still climbing mph & the water got a little sloppy so it killed the TOP mph potential.
