rpm's @ idle w/...
Stock SC...OE air intake....1800rpm +/- 50rpm...if I remember right.
Stock SC w/ 4" front diy air intake...about the same...right?
Stock SC w/ my new rear air intake...started at 2000rpm and settled to 1900rpm w/ spikes to 2100.
What'd I do wrong?

did you accidentally bump the throttle adjustment during the install?

Hmm...throttle adjustment?...is it a screw?...like on my old Holley 750?
If so...I don't think a bump would do it.

yeah looking at the picture it is unlikely unless something was bumped during the install.

Okay...if I didn't bump anything outa place...(I'll check in a sec)...would the increase in rpm at idle be bad...and if not....what is the projected rpm at wot?
...the coolant res is shielding the throttle adjustment/cable...no way I could've touched it.

If is wasn't bumped or the cable isn't stressed or had been moved I don't see why you wouldn't get a little more on the top end.

You think I could see a steady 8250rpm....if I could see a steady 8100-8150 stock?

It would be interesting to see.
