Guys want to get some honest feed back how important is sealing a pump shoe.

All we are after is top end speed is there any benefits in seal the shoe not worried about take off. Doe s it reduce the risk of cracking the pump tunnel would be good to hear everyones opions+reasons.

I would imagine that it does reduce the risk some what because it adds structural integrity to the pump area by bonding everything together and the fact that it gave me .04 tenths on top end isnt too bad either

Its actually the opposite. When you seal the pump shoe WITHOUT a pump tunnel reinforcment kit,it increases the pump pressure and makes it much easier to crack the tunnel with the eccesive pump pressure the PPK adds.

    yeah that actually makes sense.

The intake grate and the tunnel reinforcement should be the very first mods you do though

lets say we have the tunnel reinforcement in place running 800 grate and you are running in the 80,s is there any advantage in having or not having a pump plug, lets forget about bottom punch only concentrating on top speed

If you dont run the PPK, you can drill 2 holes in the pumpshoe to help prevent the buck.

    Getting of topic here

So not sealing the pump make no difference to top speed i don t hear of anyone else stating other wise.

If we ever see the buck will worry about changes to the pump then

    Great.
