    4 place trailer project

Well after 3 to 4 weeks and $2500, I am all but done. I took a custom made 28 ' painted trailer, rebuilt it, and had it galvanized. The only thing original is the axles, frame, and winch post. I hafe 40 hours of my own time in it. That is not including having it sand blasted, welded, then dipped. After all this, I almost wish I would have drove my ass to NY and bought shibbys trailer.
The document had pictures of what the trailer was like when I bought it and then I have pictures of how it sits now. I had to replace some steel and do some reinforcement, but this trailer is now solid. Future plans is a aluminum tool chest, fuel racks, and to lay diamand aluminum plate on the tung back to the fuel racks.

    BTW,
I only have 2 of my skis on it now since me and the wife are going on a ride in Houston tomorrow. I saw no need to leave 2 other skis sitting in a parking lot all day waiting to be stolen.
This trailer will easily fit 4 3 seaters. I plan on having 3 gprs and my stand up on it for now.
Oh, future plans also include brakes.

    Thanks.
I did learn one thing. Roll out your carpet for the bunks 2 days before you plan on istallig. Stretch well, then let sit some more. Then staple into place. I stappled 1 night, went back the next day and the carpet loosend up. I will stretched it more and added some staples but I am going to do it over later.

Well Kirk.. i'll give you an alternate point of view... now you have a trailer that is put together and built your way for your needs and is pretty much brand new after all the work you put into it. I'm sure it was long hours, but think of it this way... it was either put in the long hours working with your hands and making something to your liking, or spending just as many hours in the car driving only to get home and have to do some minor work on my trailer to personalize it and accomodate it to your needs and your machines.

I think you made a good decision, and it came out great!! nice work

    Are those 4 x 4 bunks ?
Where did you get the carpet ?
What size rims and tires are those and how much where they ?

Wow, whoever backed the beast up that single driveway got skills , hope you can get it out without running over the neighbors mailbox
