    6.9 P.S.I. of boost????

Well the ski ran OK besides the prop spin...

With my new Digital gauge I only pulled 6.9 p.s.i. of boost with RR IC...

    Is this normal?

I only registered 7 lbs of boost all last year too, at 8150 rpms. Stock ECU, Riva air filter, RR intercooler, stock supercharger, power pipe exhaust. The stock machines run 7 - 7.5 lbs of boost, and the RR intercooler cools the air way better than the stock intercooler, but also is little more restrictive. Sounds about right to me ...

    Austin,

If you are still running your stock S/C impeller, this is probably accurate. You have not installed the Riva S/C impeller yet, right?

What were the temps and humidity like?

Something important with the electric guages to understand is they essentially zero the boost pressure every time they're fired up based on the sensors in the "brain"...

the difference between 6.9lbs boost and 7.5 lbs. boost could easily be explained away based on the weather. Temps in the 80's or better and high humidity vs. cooler temps and low humidity can easily account for 1-2lbs of boost pressure lost so 1/2lb is awfully realistic...

for an example my Lightning runs almost 16lbs of boost in the winter under 40 degrees outside (and I'm scared as hell to let it downshift) and only about 14lbs in the summer when temps get up over mid 80's...

Of course you could always have a leak somewhere...

Well it was mid 80's and water temp. about 60..
Not real sure on the humidity. It was sunny as heck out and a very nice and hot day.
