R&D Intake Grate - Scrubbing speed or not? What's the final verdict

For those of you that have purchased, installed and run the R&D intake grate on your ULTRA250X, is it scrubbing speed or not?

It gave amazing hook-up and it made my Ultra feel like it was on rails the handling was amazing !......But yes it did scrub speed some where around 1.6mph

Also; what's up with the "offshore" ride plate.. Has anyone tested it; We ride in the SoCal ocean and the physics are completely different out there compared to a lake!

So then, SoCal & Lorblack et al, do you think the better hook up at the expense of pure top end is worth it? I'm thinkin so...

good question - if you're expecting chop out there, I recommend the grate - if not (lake riding etc) go with stock intake.

Has anyone played with the standard grate? ie remove bar that runs across the middle or removed centre bar and turning it into a two bar grate. I seen some photos on skips site showing a tricked standard grate but could not find any write up about it. Cheers
