    rxp throttle cable

    Anybody ever had problems with there throttle cable being loose on there rxp/rxt where it would gave lower top end.

    Anybody,my wife's rxp's throttle is very loose which seem to be the problem with the lose in performance on low end and top end.My throttle on my rxp is tight and the cable is not loose.(well)

    did you adjust it? did something slip out/at the thumb throttle?...PR...

    Never adjust it,and what could I look for that would have slipped out.

    just for shits, check how much slack is in the wire at the finger/thumb throttle...Maybe there was a spacer or something that came off??

    It's the same on both, but when I open the throttle on my rxp all the way that's all it will go on the throttle body,but on my wife's rxp there's still about a 1/16 more that it can open up on the throttle body with the throttle open all the way.

    there should be a little slack in the cable when the throttle lever all the way against the grip. If it is adjusted so that it is tight it will stress the plastic parts in the thumb throttle, that last little bit just pulls the throttle plate past centered and does not flow any more air anyway.

    There is a cable adjuster under the seat.....My ski had a little play and i tightened it there...no more slack...
