    possible sc failure

i was riding with my friend and he has a 06 rxp and we were cruising at around 50 and then he said it just slowed down and lost alot of power and he said he had no boost and the engine souded diffrent, he has 83 hours on his ski now and said he had the s/c washers fail at 30 hours last season, what are the symptoms of failed washers, he just wants to verify the problem before he brings it in

    thanks guys

The rpms will be around 6,500 rpms and you get owned by the Seadoo GTI. To check the SC pull the intake and tube and try to spin the SC impeller; spins the washer are gone, won't spin then it's something else.

where does your friend bring his RXP in for service?

does he still have a warranty?

make sure the dealer is going to fix it correctly... ie remove the engine completely and replace the oil pumps and clean out the oil passages

pick your dealer carefully.. i know for a fact "most" dealers on long island dont fix a supercharger failure correctly just straight up because they dont know

Dam, oil sure does cost a lot in New York. The $300 is for the oil and filter, but $300, they are crooks.

well i'm glad u said it and not me... yes they are crooks.

the problem is this... crazy freddy sells PRICES... he's not selling service.... and after the paperwork is drawn up most people are suckers for all the BS that appears in the contract in the end... very very shady business practices of you are not on top of your game in the negotiations.

i know where to find the best dealer for Seadoo service on long island... but typically speaking crazy freddy customer's skis wont even be welcomed into the door

yea tell me about it, when i brought my ski in for a oil change and a 10 hour check up they hit me up for 280 then i figured out that i can change the oil myself and go over a few nuts, bolts and clamps
