S3 results--stock ecu
Went out yesterday on the Rxp. This was my first ride with the new S3 charger and skegs. I was very impressed---the acceleration was strong and the skegs definitely helped in the chop.
We are having unusually warm/humid weather for September. Air temp was 88 degrees and dew point was 54; water temp was 75 degrees.
Best runs were 76.9 and 76.7 @ 8060-8100 rpm. Still have the stock nozzle and stock thermostat. All runs were made after about 30 minutes of riding---no cool down.
Calculated density altitude (sorry--I'm a drag racer, can't help it)-----2437 ft (435 actual elevation)!!! I can't wait for some 50-60 degree air temp/water temps---this thing will fly with a smaller nozzle/thermo.
I can definitely see an ecu and 3 blade prop in my future.
I want more, .

MPower, those are pretty normal numbers for that setup. Check out the sticky on 4-tecs speeds, you will a large group of people with similar setups that are running 76 - 78 mph. It does sometimes take a little fine tuning, but there are a lot of Stage 2+ boats running similar speeds.
