RXP Stock top speeds?
Hello everyone, I just bought a 05 RXP and got the opas kit. Where about should my ski run at WOT for the first 5 hours, then 10 hours?

68-69 stock, i wouldn't try to reach max speed the first 5 hours. Just short bursts. After 5 hours, hit it. the speedo will say 70, get a gps, you should see 68 or 69.

Oh, okay, sounds good. I figured it would get faster the closer it got to 10 hours

Mine shows 68+ in the summer and my best is 69.8 in the cold water in the spring.. This is on my Magellan Meridian Marine GPS.

Speeds will vary according to hull, engine, drivetrain variances. Break-in, rider weight, ambient conditions, location, elevation will affect power output and speed.
So 66-68 is a good baseline but some "good" units may bump up near 70 on a good day. If yours does, consider yourself lucky. In reality, you wont feel a 2mph difference because of concentrating too hard to keep the bugs off your teeth from smiling too much.
You will notice that since you removed your OPAS, the boat will come unhooked more frequently. You might want to consider getting a top-loader grate, IE Riva, Worx, R&D.

Mine ran an average of 68.5 in it's stock condition.
