Will adding skeggs to a stock RXP (stock sponsons) help it get on plane sooner? It just seems that the( stern ?) back of the ski drags along alot.

I am weary of adding it as I am going to be selling come spring.

    Any input would be appricated.

Jimbo, installing skegs will not help you plane faster.

You might have some different problems Jimbo. Even when my Rxp was stock it was real quick to plane and never "dragged" like your saying.Have you looked at your wear ring at all? Is your Sc is working order? Are you turning 8100?

I haven't checked the wearring. I have a Solas prop I MIGHT instal come spring and will check if & when I do.

It gets on plane. It just seams to me it plows the water alot before getting on-plane. I am not sure if its normal and I am just use to my old 951 XPs
