    RPM help for 06 RXP

New to site and desperately seek the all worldly and experienced advice of you who are in the "know and go".

06 RXp (70 hours) with the following mods:

Riva Stage 1 kit. Solas 15/20 impeller. RR Platinum plugs. Rear Exhaust. Riva Sponsons. Ride plate holes filled.

PROBLEM: RPM's max out consistently around 7750-7790. (Ski keeps up with bud's stage 2 out of the hole, but then...I know, not the same mod's)

SOLUTION?????? All advice will be greatly appreciated
I have been told to have the torque on the SC bolts checked.....Got to be more....

    15/20

are you sure you have a 15/20 prop?
do you have metal washers in the s/c?

    you have two choices :
    1) get a 14/19 prop
    2) get an external i/c or s/c wheel or both.............

bottom line the 15/20 is too much prop for your setup.

you need to try and always turn 8100 when wot no more no less.
by turning 8100 you are getting the most out of what you have.

Diggs, thanks for the tip....I have metal washers on order. I only upgraded to the 15/20 on the Riva reps recommendation.

    rpms

Thats an easy one. Just get the prop repitched about 1-1.5mm on the trailing edge. I had the same problem after mods.

Wow, he must have had a brain fart or something. No way will you be able to turn an out of the box 15/20 with a Stage 1. I may have a 14/19R untouched for sale if you want it. PM me if you want it unless you plan on modding more to get the 15/20 to work.

Get the 14/19R. You might be able to get the Rpm's right with the 15/20, but your boat will accelerate much slower to your top speed (compared to 14/19R).

    14/19

Just buy an external i/c or green wheel and forget about the 14/19.

dont bend the prop until you are done buying go fast parts.
when you are done buy the pro nozzle and put in the ring you need.

I say keep the prop and purchase a rr or green wheel. Water4fire had an 06 RXP that had the following:

    custom rear intake
    15/20r
    rr wheel

    Was hitting 73+ @ 8150 RPM's
