I think the raider is finally tuned
Some piston wash pics.
It starts instantly, runs WFO all day, won a trophy at mudbug, and I am finally happy with the jetting. I am tempted to go a little leaner, but I am hoping I can resist the urge.
65U flywheel and cdi
65U variable oil pump
ProK flame arrestors
Low 97.5 97.5 97.5 1.25 turns out
High 95 90 95 1 1 1.25 turns out
Popoff 1.5 needle & seat 80g spring 38 psi.
Turns an Island racing 11/17 J prop at 6900 rpm's.
Still tweaking the pump, plate, grate, but runs pretty consistent 62ish on 87 OCTANE

I have a quick ? Dont want to hijack the thread but I wnat ot ask. How long can I expect to run a motor before I can expect to get a good piston wash reading.
I took a few pics today of my GPR. Looked lean but I only have about 2hrs on it. Looked like it was starting to wash around the intake. The wash on yours looks damn near perfect.
Sorry I just thought I'd ask.

I saw that wash pattern starting to develop after about 3 gallons, but it was very faint. I left it there, and what you see in the pics is after about 3 full tanks. It is a tad rich, but I actually brought in the HS needles a little after seeing it.

I would like to see some more technical info about piston wash in a 2 stroke watercraft motor?
Does anyone have any sites or info so that I can educate myself further into 2 stroke technology....?
Thankyou in Advance......
