    SC replacement bolts

What Sc bolts are you guys using to replace the torx ones with ? Im guessing the 3 to remove the Sc is good enough. Also thinking about doing the Thermostat ones.

I just go to the hardware and get a hex head bolt the same length, thread, diameter as the torx one.......only problem is the best bolt I can find is below a grade 5 bolt........I'm looking into where I can get a grade 8.......I haven't snapped one yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time

grade 8. I wonder if the newer 06,07 Seadoos come with the hex heads instead of those damn torx.

Yes they do, I know this because I always start with the hardest bolt to rech.....the bottom one......and I was using a torx socket and couldn't figure out why I couldn't grip it......30 minutes later I realized I was just a dumass....this was on a 07

And they didn't replace all of the torx screws on the ski. So now, some are torx and some are hex. It's a PITA having to switch out sockets because they can't make all the screws uniform.

So then he 07's have the Hex type heads. IM only concerned for the 3 to remove the SC and the thermostat ones, which are the ones that tend to get used more .

Yes I am speaking about the 3 on the charger.....I'll look in my manual to see if they changed the thermo bolts

The 06 and up use normal hex bolts for the SC, but still use External Torx for much of the rest of the engine.
