75.0 today with S1+ and new hull

I'm a little confused by these results, but here goes. . .

This past spring, I ran my Stage 1+ and got 74.0 mph. It's an '04 RXP with the Riva 3" air intake, Rotax Racing wheel, Riva grate, Riva wedge, and a 15/20R prop. Water and air was in the 70's and fuel was on 1 bar, trim was 2 clicks from the top.

About a month ago, I hit a log and damaged my hull. I ended up buying a complete hull from peteshauling. It's also an '04 RXP hull.

Today, with the exact same mod's, I ran 75.0 mph. Water and air is in the 80's and fuel was 2-3 bars. The ski wouldn't quit porpoising, so I made my top speed runs with the trim right in the middle. This one will do over 72.5 with me sitting on the front seat even.

So. . . after changing the hull out, I was able to go 1 mph faster in warmer temperatures with more weight and the trim down.

Something strange for sure, but on my 04, if Im 2 clicks away from trim all the way up, Im porpoising like an idiot, my trim right in the middle and Im gold. Sounds like the hull you had before was a bit odd???

Without knowing your ACTUAL Air Density from a year ago, versus today, you are just banging your head on the wall.

get a straight edge at least 3 ft. long and compare the amount of hook each hull has, betcha the new one has less.

Well unfortunately (fortunately?), I've put back most of the stuff that was cut up. If this hull was trued, then that might explain it.
